The workshop
Two EU-funded projects are jointly organising a "Training and networking workshop for WB-EU research cooperation in ICT for Learning and eLearning". The workshop will be organised in the frame of the international event "4th Balkan Conference in Informatics-BCI 2009" in Thessaloniki, Greece on 18 September, 2009.
The programme
This 1-day workshop focuses on Technology Enhanced Learning and ICT skills and it addresses researchers from the Western Balkan countries* and also from the EU. It intends to provide guidance and the necessary information for participating in the Seventh Framework Programme – FP7, and will be structured in sessions that allow the participants from the WBC and the EU to: Be informed on the latest developments and trends in e-Learning Be trained on how to participate in FP7 Proposals and how to manage contractual and financial obligations that arise from grants. Benefit from the presentation of Best practices and FP experiences Network with representatives of other organizations, by presenting their capacities in the field of Technology Enhanced Learning and ICT Skills.
The organisers
The two projects, ICT-WEB-PROMS "Promoting ICT cooperation opportunities and policy dialogue with the Western Balkan Countries" and WINS-ICT "Western Balkan Countries INCO-NET Support in the field of ICT" are two EU-funded Specific Support Actions aiming at enhancing scientific and research cooperation between the Western Balkan region and the EU, specifically in the theme of Information & Communication Technologies (ICT).
How to participate and present your idea!
The workshop has no fee but requires registration in advance. For registration, please visit the registration page and submit the completed form. Please note that completing the registration form secures participation only for the workshop organised by the ICT-WEB-PROMS and WINS-ICT projects. If you are interested in participating at the 4th BCI 2009 conference, there is a special rate of €250. For registration under the special BCI rate, please contact Mr. Konstantinos Roussis - konrousis@seerc.org. ("Due to the vacation period there will be some delay in the replies to potential BCI participants who are interested in registering under the special rate")
A networking session will conclude the day and participants can present own project ideas, organisations, research skills suitable for cooperation under the FP7 ICT technology Enhanced Learning topic.
The call for presentations can be downloaded below and replies can be sent by September 11.
